You’re invited – Shalom Corps & Zikaron BaSalon seminar on creating meaningful events

Shalom Corps & Zikaron BaSalon seminar - December 2022

Shalom Corps and Zikaron BaSalon are welcoming the wider Jewish learning community to their hybrid seminar, “Navigating Jewish Identity in the Past, Present & Future,” on Wednesday, December 7th in Tel Aviv.

In a casual, intimate atmosphere, the seminar facilitators will dive into the challenges facing younger generations. Together with the group, they will explore ways to connect young Jews with their heritage and strengthen their individual and collective Jewish identity.

To begin the seminar, Sharon Buenos, the Global Director of Zikaron BaSalon, will showcase the power of storytelling in strengthening Jewish identity and preserving our families’ heritage. Then, Tamar Schwarzbard, the Head of New Media at the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will present innovative tools for combatting antisemitism. Finally, attendees will engage in limmud (text study) around the value of tikkun olam (the Jewish obligation to repair the world), followed by a conversation to learn from each others’ knowledge on how to build meaningful participant experiences in Jewish service-learning programs.

Join us for this hybrid event to meet friends and colleagues in person, learn together, discuss experiences, and exchange thoughts on facilitating Jewish learning experiences with other professionals from around the world.

RSVP to attend in person in Tel Aviv or by Zoom on the Shalom Corps registration webpage.
