Mosaic United is a groundbreaking strategic partnership between global Jewry and the State of Israel, which strengthens Jewish identity and connection to Israel among Jews worldwide by equipping partner organizations with resources while challenging them with criteria and standards to expand breadth and depth of programming.
Since the launch of Yisraelim in 2020, more than 5,000 Israelis living abroad have strengthened their Jewish identities and connections to Israel through tailored experience tracks in partnership with a variety of organizations across North America and Europe.
Responsibilities
- Lead the initiative, managing all ongoing operations and future development
- Execute the business plan and ensure targets are met
- Fundraise to expand Yisraelim and forge new partnerships
- Cultivate and steward relationships with funders, the Government of Israel, strategic partners, and organizations across the Jewish world
- Promote cooperation among providers and coordinate field building activity
- Oversee financial allocations, obligations, and reporting
- Oversee legal and operational procedures to ensure requirements of stakeholders are met
- Oversee third-party audit and evaluation processes
- Oversee PR, marketing, and branding processes
- Manage staff
- Advance the broader vision of Mosaic United and collaborate with the Mosaic United team
Desired Experience and Personal Characteristics
- At least one academic degree
- Experience managing a large project in informal education, community building, social change, or related fields
- Demonstrated fundraising experience
- Financial acumen with ability to manage and administer budgets and produce reports
- Skills and sensibility in PR, marketing, and branding
- Excellent people-skills and ability to engage Israeli and non-Israeli Jewish communities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and hold to timelines
- Strong Jewish and Zionist background plus familiarity with the Jewish organizational world
- Familiarity with communities of Israelis outside of Israel
- Passionate about Mosaic United’s mission and vision, Jewish identity, and Israel education
- Ability to travel internationally; willingness to work unconventional hours
- Mother-tongue Hebrew and fluent English
- Prior experience working with the Israeli government – a plus
