Through Mosaic United, the Israeli Ministry of Diaspora Affairs has helped fund Jewish Camp @ Home – a joint initiative of Mosaic United and Foundation for Jewish Camp, dedicated to helping Jewish camps pivot to digital in response to COVID-19.
On 17 August 2020, Israeli Minister of Diaspora Affairs MK Omer Yanekelvich hosted a discussion via Zoom with Jewish campers from abroad. The dialogue aimed to provide Jewish teens in the US a forum for discussion with the Minister of Diaspora Affairs about the issues affecting them. The live discussion covered topics including the affect of camp on the Jewish identity and connection to Israel of campers. Jewish teens participating represented a number of important pillars in the camping world, including Camp Ramah, JCC, URJ, and independent camps.
