The Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council was one of the hardest-hit municipalities in Hamas’ attack on Israel. Many of its communities are directly adjacent to the border fence with Gaza, and suffered the full brunt of the attack. Many were killed, abducted, and made to endure unspeakable acts – including the head of our Council, Ofir Libstein of blessed memory, who was killed in an exchange of fire with the terrorists in Kfar Aza. Still many more have lost their homes and property. They need emergency supplies, equipment, and the means to provide emotional and financial support to those who have lost everything.
