Even as so much has changed this year, we carry on our traditions – including Chanuka celebrations on campuses around the world!
Our partners on the ground – Hillel International, Chabad on Campus International, and Olami – helped students safely celebrate the Festival of Lights.
In person, there were celebrations like a masked candlelighting and dreidel tournament at the University of Florida Hillel and a Chanuka party at Olami’s JLE in the UK.
Students learning remotely joined together virtually. Hillels from around the world – including Northwestern University in Chicago, Columbia/Barnard in New York, Rio, France, Kiev, and Jerusalem – gathered to share the light. At Olami’s Meor in Maryland, young people matched wits during a virtual Chanuka trivia night.
